Skinny Boy

SkinnyBoyADOPTED!!!!! (aka – foster failure!) Glad you’re home little man!!

Meet Skinny Boy! He’s a one year old kitty rescued from the Loews Hotel Sites. He’s currently in the Orlando FL area with a foster family. While they’re taking great care of him (he’s no longer “skinny”) they have a number of other fosters, so Skinny Boy really needs to have his own family. He was placed through CARE feline TNR.

If you’re interested in becoming Skinny’s forever human, please contact Carol Needham at caroln@CAREfelineTNR.org.

Potter

Potter1/27/13 – ADOPTED!!!!!!
12/31/12 – PENDING ADOPTION!!!!
12/17/12 – POTTER
Potter – male (not neutered) – tabby, broken right ear, approximately 7 lbs.
Currently in Pittsburgh, PA but transport can be arranged

Potter is a house cat who was abandoned recently and left to fend for himself. His foster family cannot keep him, as there are already cats in the home and they will not accept an outsider. Potter is sweet and affectionate. He is not aggressive. As a result, he has been bullied by some larger toms. He is desperate to find a home. He is a snuggler and would love to have someone to care for him and love him back. There is no estimate on age, but he seems youngish. We don’t know if he has had any shots. He is definitely not fixed.
If you’d like to inquire about Potter, please email Linda at samboras6string@comcast.net

Angel

ADOPTEDAngel

Remember this Angel? Poor little trash can kitty. Well, Imagine Home would like to share a happy tail with you!

Just this past Christmas, a little 9 year old boy asked Santa for a white kitty. Santa couldn’t get his kitty to him at that time, you see she still had an adventure to live through and many hearts to touch before going home. A rescue group in NC was Santa’s late deliverer. (Link to their page to follow.) The family that found Angel and pulled her from the trash can was there to help.

“It was a sweet surprise for him today. They covered his eyes and we had kitty in a large shoe box with a bow. The boy was so happy. older sister and mom ecstatic. It was wonderful.”

So you see, there are many roads to Home. And many kitties Imagine how they will get there. Some go by car, some go by plane, some go in a box! But there is one thing that they all travel with, and that is love.

Jeffrey

ADOPTEDJeffrey

12/17/12 – JEFFREY
Jeffrey –male (neutered) black with a few white hairs on chest.
Currently in Pittsburgh, PA but transport can be arranged

Jeffrey is a big boy – around 12 pounds – and estimated at about a year old. He is playful and loves people, but doesn’t get along well with other animals. He likes to be “king”. He is friendly and affectionate with humans. He is not a lap cat, but prefers to stretch out on the floor with his person and be stroked and petted – even his belly if he is feeling affectionate. He loves wand toys, especially if they have feathers. He will play for hours.
He loves to be brushed and is not afraid of the vacuum cleaner. Jeffrey has his own bed, brush, blanket, bowls and toys. Jeffrey was neutered in Oct. 2012 and also received all of his shots. He likes to be outside, but enjoys being inside too. He is very curious and is entertaining to be with. Jeffrey was abandoned over the summer and left to fend for himself. His foster family loves him and would like to keep him but, because they have a cat already, it is not working out. He’s a special boy and needs a good person to love him.
If you’d like to inquire about Jeffrey, please contact Linda at samboras6string@comcast.net

Max

Max12/22/12 ADOPTED!!! Thanks to Jane Luckett of Columbus Branch of Macon Purrs N Paws.

MY NAME IS MAX.

Thanks to a lady in TN…she sponsored me. Unfortunately I am FIV positive, but otherwise I am great. I am getting another test run to make sure. I got neutered yesterday, got my hair done too while I was under…bath, etc. I am so handsome. I am also a very sweet guy. Doctor says I am only a little over a year old. I weigh 10 pounds….Maine Coon. I do have someone interested in me, so if it doesn’t pan out I will be available to a home as the only cat or a home that has FIV positive kitties if my other test definitely says yes. With a good pet parent, I can live a long time.

The Fabulous Five

Ricki1ADOPTED

Hello – I need help finding homes for kittens I rescued who were born a few miles from my house at a barn. I’ve had them for 3 weeks so they are dewormed, deflead, litter box trained and more importantly socialized. There are also 2 kittens still at the barn that I feed each night. I would have taken them in too but I can only keep them in my bathroom and there’s already 4 kittens in there (I’m keeping one). My husband did not want me to rescue or foster any more kittens, but some how I was able to talk him into it this one last time while I get the females at the barn fixed (I got another one fixed 2 weeks ago, but there are 2 left). I do this all out of my own pocket and am just looking for some help to find these sweethearts a good home. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you — in Bowmansville, PA.

Miss Holly

MissHolly12/7/12 UPDATE ~ ADOPTED!!!

MISS HOLLY

Information: She is estimated at 7 week old Female intact calico dmh. Humane Society brought her in on Friday. She was found outside by a woman who then took her to H.S. She is 1 pound 10 ounces. FELV/FIV Negative…too young for FVRCP vaccine. Has flea dirt…will get frontline treatment when she reaches 2 pounds. Underweight but has a great appetite. Fecal will be run tomorrow.

She is incredibly sweet. I would say that she is a moderate to severely affected C.H. cat. She can eat on her own but can only walk one or 2 steps before falling on her side. She is good at getting herself up in a sitting position with her feet tucked under her and she sits like that all the time. She has head tremors but those aren’t bad. She has not figured out the litterbox yet but i’ve only had her for 2 days so i’m hoping that will come along. She is a very happy kitten..just wants to be held and loved. She plays with string/toys with her front paws when you’re holding her.

I am fostering her at my dad’s office room until we can hopefully find her a home. I am so nervous that we wont be able to find her a home bc of her special needs but I just cant euthanize her..she is too sweet. I can foster her for the next couple months if it takes that long to find her a home but I figure her best shot of adoption is as a cute kitten. “

Elliot

This photo is Elliot. He is a 3 yr old dilute orange tabby; declawed and neutered. He was abandoned & needs a new home. He has a large wound on his neck which is finally healing. The vet believes that he scratched his skin off because of ear mites, but this started 6 mos ago so we are no sure. A friend watched the abscess get bigger but he disappeared for 4 mos and when he finally reappeared the wound was much larger. He is on antibiotics and pain meds. I am looking for a qualified home (one that can change his bandages everyday) or a no-kill shelter who will continue with his care until it heals.

He does have a space at the Wake Cty (NC) SPCA but is # 170 on this list. Can anyone help or suggest options? Thanks.

Red

CHARLES TOWN, NYRed

From Patty:

I use to call him Big Red. Red was abandoned into a controlled colony last January in rain and snow. One very rainy night as I was feeding them I remember meeting him and I now believe that night to be the same night he was abandoned, because he was meowing so hard when he heard me. Even in the rain he was beautiful, with his orange and dark orange circular markings and his fur was so long it touched the ground. I found out his owner just put him there and he use to be an inside cat and this makes me wonder what kind of life he had even as an indoor cat. Then he just dropped out of sight and then suddenly, he was there again and came up to me this time, putting his face in the food before I could get it out of the can and he loved getting pets and scratches, I would too if I was inundated with fleas.

Red came up to me because he was literally starving and he knew that he had to let me help him, as if he were saying “I need help.” You wouldn’t believe he weighs 11 pounds, but it’s all bone. I can feel his ribs and backbone. The sides of his body are caved in. The good news is that he he’s negative from the combo test! Currently I have him at a vacant house next door in a very large kennel. Red is now flea free and is quite a love bug! He loves his pets, especially his cheeks being scratched and rolls onto his back in sheer happiness now. Red has a way to go yet before going to a permanent furever home. After he regains his weight he’ll get his shots and be neutered.

As much as I would love to love and keep Red I cannot. This is my 8th rescue this year and I’m maxed out financially and emotionally. Please if there is a permanent and loving home out there, please consider stepping up and taking this wonderful guy to be a part of your family. As mentioned, he’s extremely loving. I don’t know if he likes dogs and as far as other cats he was with an all female colony for months and I think he will get along with other cats. I’m hoping you can help me, help Red.

On behalf of Red, thank you,
Patty

If you are interested in Red, Patty can be contacted at joppatowne@comcast.net

Little Kitty

Happily Home – Foster Fail / New Name ‘Rowdy’

HILLSVILLE, VALittleKitty2

This little guy is so little he doesn’t even have a “real” name yet. For now, Selina is calling him “Little Kitty.”

Selina found this little guy hiding under a bush at a bank in town. She says, “I was actually across the street when I heard him crying (loudly)! I just couldn’t leave it. The vet thinks he is only 4-5 weeks old now but healthy. He tested neg for feline leukemia. He will stay with me for at least 3 more weeks. He’s very playful and loving. I’d like for him to be an inside cat. I have posted him on my local humane society’s page but I wanted to put him on here too, just in case. If I lived in a bigger house, I wouldn’t be trying to place him anywhere. I have 2 inside cats and a dog already. But, if I never find another home for him, he will have one where he is. Thank you.”

Think that you have the perfect home (and name) for “Little Kitty”?? Contact Selina at slinkeme@yahoo.com

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI

SHADOW

Neddie writes – I am desperately looking for a foster/furever home for this handsome, loverboy stray cat that has been coming by at night for a couple months now. My husband and I give him food, water and as much love as we can. I have taken him to the vet and he is not microchipped or fixed. He is super loving. Due to our current living situation we can not keep him. We are in the Farmington Hills, MI area. Would you please share and help him find a home? Anyone looking for more information can email me at neddiex24@yahoo.com
If you think that this beautiful house panther would match the decor in your home, or that you can help out by fostering him to help get him off the streets, please contact Neddie ASAP. Shadow is estimated to be about 2 years old.
