Need help getting a cat to safety, or their forever family?
Imagine Home is here to help coordinate transport—because sometimes love (and rescue) knows no distance.
Whether you’re an adopter, foster, rescue, or shelter, we may be able to assist by coordinating a relay-style transport through our amazing network of volunteer drivers.
Imagine Home Transport Policy & Guidelines
Every transport request is evaluated on an individual basis. Imagine Home reserves the right to deny any request or cancel a transport already in the planning stages if any unresolved concern arises.
Transport Duration:
- Please note: We are not currently accepting transport requests that exceed 30 hours in duration.
- Please note that for transports taking less than three hours, we will not set up an entire transport for them. Instead, we will try to fill the trip and post it on our page asking for volunteers who may be available to help.
Cat Age Requirements:
- Cats must be at least 16 weeks old and no older than 12 years.
- Exceptions for senior cats (over 12 years) require written veterinary documentation confirming the cat is healthy enough to travel for the planned duration.

Transfer Location:
- Transfers should take place in a public location for the safety of both parties.
- If a hand-off must occur at a private residence, please notify Imagine Home immediately to discuss the circumstances.
Health & Safety Protocol:
- If you are feeling unwell, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, the flu, RSV, norovirus, or any other contagious illness, or if you have been exposed to someone with a contagious illness within the past 5 days, and are signed up for a transport:
- ➡️ Please notify an Imagine Home Admin immediately.
Transport Protocol Agreement:
By signing up for a transport, you are confirming that you understand and agree to follow Imagine Home’s Transport Protocol Procedure.
If you are uncomfortable with any part of the procedure, please do not sign up—we completely understand and respect your decision.

Imagine Home Inc., including its officers, Board of Directors, administrators, and volunteers, will not be held responsible for any illness, injury, or damages that may occur during transports.

Do you need assistance in getting a kitty transported? Please make sure you read the Basic Requirements for Transports. We reserve the right to decline transports if these requirements are not met. We are not able to set up URGENT transports. If you want us to share your need, please contact us on Facebook.
