At Imagine Home, the safety and comfort of everyone involved—humans and animals alike—are our top priorities. Please read the following protocol carefully before signing up for any transport.

📍 Preferred Meeting Locations

We strongly prefer that all pet hand-offs occur in public places (e.g., parking lots, parks, or other neutral and safe locations).
If a transfer must occur at a private residence, please notify Imagine Home in advance and receive approval.

✅ Participation Agreement

By signing up for a transport, you acknowledge that you:

Understand and agree to follow the Transport Protocol.
Will not participate if you are uncomfortable with any part of the procedure—we completely understand and respect that.
Agree that, if you are a foster or adopter requesting a transport, your request implies acceptance of this protocol.

Mutual Respect for drivers AND kitties. *
Please be respectful of all drivers. We DO NOT tolerate any harsh exchanges, foul language, name calling and general nastiness to any driver and or transport coordinator. If any of this occurs, please let us know ASAP so that we can rectify the situation. Please have your phone accessible and CHARGED until your leg is completed. Transports will often run ahead or behind schedule and your connecting drivers and/or coordinators need to be able to reach you to inform you of the time status of the transport. Do not smoke or drink alcohol during your transport. Many kitties are allergic or sensitive to cigarettes and VAPING. Do NOT add another animal to a transport. If you have a certified service animal, contact your Transport Coordinator (TC) or message our Facebook Page to let us know BEFORE you make your trip. ANY cat that is being fostered, whether it is one hour, one day or one week, MUST be kept separate from your own animals. Despite us having some limited knowledge of the foster cat's personality, the stress of a transport CAN and has caused changes in personality. You MUST stay in constant contact with either your TC or our Facebook page to let them know their behavior when you interact with the foster cat. Any cat that you are TRANSPORTING or FOSTERING must be kept INDOORS at all times. If you have windows that you keep open in your house, they MUST have screen protectors. Any cat that you are TRANSPORTING or FOSTERING must be kept inside its transport crate or carrier when going from your car to your house. Adoption Off Transport Removing an animal from a transport before it has reached the final destination indicated on this run sheet constitutes theft in all 50 states and will be reported to local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies. In addition, your name will be publicized on “Do Not Transport” lists that are widely circulated in the rescue and transport communities. All runs are monitored. Please check-in at pick up. We are committed to responsible transport and rescue. Until every cat is home, we know they Imagine Home. We also encourage you to let your Transport Coordinator know when you have returned from your leg. The well-being of our volunteers is as important to us as the cats we transport. Any infraction of these policies and procedures will result in the transporter being removed from our driver’s list. We take our transports very seriously and expect our transporters to do the same. If ANYTHING happens during a transport that causes concern, (including but not limited to a cat panting, breathing fast, or rudeness/lack of communication from another transporter,) PLEASE let your Transport Coordinator (TC) know immediately. That is our job, and why we include our phone numbers on every runsheet.
