Meet Lele.

This beautiful girl spent her entire life with her loving mom. Unfortunately, life sometimes takes unexpected turns. When Lele’s mom needed to move to another state, she was unable to bring Lele with her right away. Trusting that her beloved cat would be safe, she left Lele in the care of a friend until she could get settled and arrange for their reunion.

Sadly, things did not go as planned.

When the friend decided to move, Lele was not included in those plans and was released outdoors. Heartbroken and desperate to find her, Lele’s mom reached out to the community for help. Many kind people stepped up to search for her, refusing to give up hope.

After two long months, Lele was finally spotted. An amazing woman was able to safely trap her, and a temporary foster opened their home to help. Since then, Lele has been decompressing from her ordeal, receiving veterinary care, and preparing for the next chapter of her journey.

Now, Lele is healthy, safe, and ready to travel home to be reunited with the person who has loved her all her life.

If you haven't already done so, and are helping to transport a cat, you MUST also be signed up on our database: www.imaginehome.org/wp/volunteer/driver-application-form/ (We assure you that your private information is held in the strictest of confidence.) If we do not have your complete contact information no later than 72 hours before an event, we will be forced to use a Backup Transporter.

While the route itself is generally fixed, we leave it to our drivers to choose the best meeting place. This site will help you figure out what is in the area: http://exitexplorer.com/. We do ask that you let your Transport Coordinator know your set location.

Your official run sheet will be sent out as soon as possible to all drivers on a transport; however, we know some drivers will wish to start planning meeting locations before it comes out.

When you sign up as a primary transporter, we encourage you to contact the driver of the leg on either side of you at your convenience to begin making plans. If you do not know that person, contact your transport coordinator who will be happy to put you in touch with each other.

Backup Transporters: until the day of the event, we will not know if you are needed. Additionally, emergencies CAN and MAY happen on the day of the event. We still expect you to be available if needed on Event Day.

Please remember when setting up meeting places and exchanging personal info that this event is posted on a public page. We ask, for your safety, that you do so in a private venue. Please be sure to exchange a vehicle description, and also pass this information to your Transport Coordinator.

You will want to be sure to have a "Transport Kit", containing bottled (or filtered) water, paper towels, pet safe wet wipes, and/or rags and towels for emergency cleanup needs.
